Who are we ?

Sobby was founded in 2011 after the realization hit us that selling your old iPhone could be done allot faster and easier than possible at that time. We all did it. Selling your iPhone on sites as eBay and the likes. Which works fine but can be a frustrating process. Spending time talking and emailing buyers who in the end don't buy, making appointments where people come to your house to inspect the device and haggle over the price. Or dissatisfied buyers who keep contacting you after the sale has completed. Yes, it works but there should be an easier way!

1 year later...

Sobby was launched en was the first (re)commerce site in the Netherlands focused purely on buying iPhones from the public. Our mission was simple. Create a platform where people can sell there Apple devices safely, easily, fast and for a good price. In turn, we sell the iPhones back to customers looking to buy a used Apple device with the added benefit of having the same warranty as if you would buy new. Since iPhones are generally very expensive this formula turned out to be a huge success.

8 years later and 80.000 iPhones later

The formula remains a success and more and more companies have sprung up offering Refurbished Apple products. Sobby decided in 2019 to expand our services to cover more EU countries and sobby.eu was launched.

How we work

Easy does it! De website and sales process have been created in such a way that it really takes only about 5 minutes to sell your Apple device. After completing the registration form you simply ship your iPhone to us insured and when we receive it we will process your sale within 24 hours. It generally takes 3 workdays from the moment of shipping to receive your money on either your PayPal or bank account. Fast and easy. And because shipping is done with insurance there's little to no risk of our customers not receiving their money.
